Hello!
I'm Juan Sebastian Rueda, a game programmer from Colombia that loves playing and creating videogames. I have been developing games for nearly 6 years, primarily working as a Gameplay and UI Programmer, implementing interfaces, game mechanics and AI.
While most of my experience has been in gameplay programming, I’ve developed a strong interest in UI. I’m especially interested in UI programming, Technical UI design, and creating UI art. When I’m not gaming with friends or watching anime, I spend my time improving my skills by designing UI and implementing it in Unreal Engine or Unity.
Currently, I’m working at Life is The Game on an in-house project, a roguelike deckbuilder developed in Unreal Engine implementing UI and gameplay features. Previously, I contributed to several projects as a freelancer and co-developer, including FSX Play by Foresight Sports and Devomon Callisto by Saguni Tech. I also worked as a gameplay programmer on Manikins: Relics and Tactics, an unannounced in-house title from Life is The Game.
I graduated from Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga in 2020 with a degree in Systems Engineering. I look forward to opportunities where I can contribute both technical skills and creativity to exciting projects.
